Preparing for a squad overhaul, Manchester United's transfer team will work actively in the upcoming summer to trim the squad.
This will be the first summer since Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS took over the sporting operations of Manchester United. Before thinking about reinforcements, United will have to offload the deadwood. Moreover, United's transfer plans will depend on their final Premier League position as well as the future of manager Erik ten Hag.

Tom Heaton, Anthony Martial, Brandon Williams are some names out of contract at the end of the season. Additionally, United are ready to listen to offers for Omari Forson, Alvaro Fernandez, Hannibal Mejbri, Donny Van de Beek, Jadon Sancho, Facundo Pellistri and Mason Greenwood.
Of those, Greenwood and Sancho could fetch United the highest fees. Greenwood is currently on loan at Getafe and attracting interest from La Liga clubs. Meanwhile, Sancho is rediscovering his form at Dortmund and is unlikely to return to Old Trafford this summer.
In the opposite direction, United will bolster their squad with 2 center-backs, 1 left-back, a central midfielder and a striker.
