Bruno Fernandes received a yellow card for arguing with referee Peter Bankes in Man Utd's latest loss to Bournemouth . This is the fifth time the midfielder has received a card this season, meaning he will be banned for one match and will sit on the sidelines to watch his team-mates play against Liverpool on Sunday.
Expert Richard Keys told Andy Gray on beIN Sports that Fernandes did it on purpose. Keys said: "Do you think Fernandes knows that if he gets booked he will miss the match against Liverpool?"
"Of course he would know," Gray replied. Keys then continued: "So he intentionally got the card, even though he knew he would be banned from the next match?"
Keys also criticized the Man Utd captain: " I think he knew he was carded and missed the match (against Liverpool) . For me, that's it in a nutshell. He's not the captain, he's not was the leader and his captaincy was questioned by others who had the potential to be captain."
